Nicolas Abdala Ready
Born in Santiago, on November 12.
He is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since 2018.
During his studies, he worked at the International Office of the Ministry of Justice, collaborating with the New York Convention on the Recovery Abroad of Maintenance and the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. In addition, he worked in the intellectual property practice of the law firm Porzio, Ríos y García (2016-2017).
Once graduated, he joined the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile as a lawyer in the International Law Division (2018-2021). In this role, he was dedicated to the negotiation, implementation, and administration of trade agreements signed by Chile, actively participated in the development of APEC Chile 2019, and worked as chair of the legal committee of the Pacific Alliance.
In the academic field, he has been a teaching assistant for Public International Law and an assistant professor of Private International Law, both at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Furthermore, he has been a representative of Chile in Law Without Walls and a fellow of the International Law Program of the Organization of American States (OAS).
He rejoined Abdala & Cia. in 2021 to be part of the firm’s corporate and real estate practice and to develop the firm’s international mobility area.
