Rodrigo Rojas Palma, responsible for the tax and IT areas of Abdala & Cia, has just joined the Fundación de Estudios Sistémicos Tributarios – FESIT, which was established this year, and of which he is a founding partner and Director.

This group integrated by academics from several Chilean universities (both from Santiago and the regions) began working in 2020 with the purpose of studying the Chilean tax system and proposing changes or reforms, analyzing to date more than 20 different topics, which end with a report approved by the Assembly. Several of these reports are in the process of being published in a book to be released by the Tirant Lo Blanch publishing house in the coming weeks.

These reports have already been delivered to the members of the tax team of the Ministry of Finance and one of them to several Constitutional Convention members.

Among the most relevant topics are Constitutional Tax Principles, Elusion and Evasion, Integration, DEDECON, Tax Justice.

The Bar Association and FESIT have initiated a system of lectures to be given every Tuesday.
